Reaching out to your Warm Market
Prerequisites: Clarity i.e. Know your Why, Posture i.e. Have confidence in what your doing and Why your doing it… focus on Service and Helping others, Preparation i.e. Think it through in advance i.e. Who are you looking for and How will I “know” when I found the right person or the wrong person.
Not Sales… then what is it? Business owners allow customers to buy, but that does not mean they “sell”. Business Owners provide services and products and the public buys from them.
Business owners look to build long term relationships with customers, Sales people sometimes are just working for a paycheck or commission. Temporary Income!
The difference is in the long-term view which you have as a business owner, and all good businesses focus on providing more Value to the customer the price the customer pays.

We are just the “Tour Guides”! (not Salespeople) Walking people through the landscape of the “exhibit” - our Markets and Opportunity, our business model, timing and leveraged compensation, when we get to the end of the tour they either exit to the “Parking Lot” through the “Gift Shop” (become a customer) or they say “tell me more about getting started in the Business.” (Become a rep)
We are looking for people who “Recognize” our opportunity; they do not need to be convinced. They may need additional information and will verify the facts before deciding to participate. But they quickly “see” our market position and decide to learn more and then join the team, follow the “system” and succeed.
Agreement #1 Yes, I am open to new business ideas…
Agreement # 2 Yes, I would take action now, when/if I find/found the right project!
Agreement # 3 Can we agree that the –Anti-Aging and Wellness Market is large and growing fast? Expected to grow by over One trillion …
Agreement #4 Breakthrough Technology – What if I had an innovative technology or advantage, which would allow me to make the competition irrelevant in the market place and therefore gain significant market share in this fast moving market
Agreement # 5 Economic Opportunity – Doesn’t it make sense that if we could dominate that market, there would be considerable financial rewards?

When they understand the BIG picture they will understand the power and value of the product innovations in light of the bigger market penetrating opportunity.

Be interested not interesting! Focus on the attributes the other posses and the goals, want and desire of the prospect. Help people get what they want, and you can have anything you Want.
Speak Clearly, Ask for what you want! Here is who I am looking for … does that sound like you?
Be prepared 30 second commercials for all areas of the business

Got, Give and Get!
We have been discussing the development of goals and action plans with various members of the team over the last several weeks and I have been learning a lot form all of you. Thanks!
Here a few ideas that have surfaced through our interaction and reflection.
Goals are most powerful when they are aligned with our deepest mission.
Goals need to have a date of completion; the difference between a Dream and a Goal is a deadline or date of completion.
Making a list of the “Things” I want to have by the end of 2009 is a good place to start. I recommend you take out a clean piece of paper, number each line and write down all the things you want to have this year, BIG and small…
In a conversation about this topic with Michelle the other morning, she added another level of insight and a point of view to consider: Make a list of all your personal assets i.e. a Gratitude List! (The things you have already, your GOT List)
Examples: You speak English, you have Friends, your have the ability to read and learn, you have work experience, you know our currency, you have a sense of Humor, you have a unique laugh, You have Compassion, Generosity, Truthfulness etc. We all may want to take account for all we currently have. This is what we have referred to as the BEING part of the Success Equation.
Next consider a Give List: The idea here is everyone has something to give.
Examples: We can give of our time, we can offer a listening ear, we can give a smile, or hug, we can live by example the character will value, we can share a word of encouragement, we can catch someone doing something good and acknowledge them for it by naming the virtue we see and notice, we can share our experience an knowledge, we can give voice to hope and strength etc…
So I am building three separate lists:
#1 My Goal list or “GET LIST”
#2 My Gratitude List of “GOT LIST”
#3 My Service list or “GIVE LIST”
Work on these three list for yourself, Find your native value, Discover the power of Service, the giving to others and watch what happens as you figure out new ways to give, and notice what happens to your Getting list…

Mission –Roles – Vision - Goals – Action Plans
Let's review a few of the concepts we have been discussing lately.
Mission – What is important to you ---- REALLY IMPORTANT!
Vision – Where you want to go
Goals - Milestones on the path towards your “Mission Accomplished”
Roles – All the different Hats you ware
Plan of Action - Those things done daily that move you towards your Mission Accomplished
Animate Your Business
Animate- Bring to life! When we bring a deep sense of connection to our action plans we infuse them with life, make them real, potent, vital, sensible and more passionate. In order to bring all that you are to your action plan you must make certain decisions. Working on Mission is the work required. When we make these fundamental decisions (discover what is most important) everything else flows. Michelle and I always saw it as a big task... but it as she discovered is about Honoring what has happened in the past. It is part of who we are, part of the paint already on the canvas. Using our life experience to make new decisions is part of the process.
Mission- What is "Most" important to me. Michelle and I have struggles with this concept for many years and have reach a point of clarity. Build from where you are now. So we are starting fresh with all our experiences, all the good and the bad.
One of my favorite books is the Fable: The Alchemist: A Fable About Following Your Dream by Paulo Coelho
A great read for those who want to better understand the purpose behind the struggles life brings when we decide to pursue our Dreams!
Alchemy the ancient process of turning Base Metal into GOLD! Modern Alchemy turning something ordinary into something extraordinary!
The Alchemy Process invites us to look to the future in a way that makes us able to see a better brighter possibility for what our potential is! Then we simply commit to do it.
We could focus on our short comings, which might be many, but focusing on our innate greatness and the real possibilities of change and growth is the path less traveled.
Example:
If you are struggling with 2nd grade math … how can you see a future with Calculus and Trigonometry? Physics? Honors High School Math classes?
Add less then supportive parents and teachers and you could spiral into thinking it will never happen, "Not for ME!" We are here to live our full potential, and that is the harder then soem would have you believe. But, it is the "Noble" path.
What If you could look into a crystal ball and see yourself, as you would be if and when you abandoned all self-limiting beliefs and attitudes, if you left all doubt, and fear behind, you know you would see an individual of personal power, Character, Substance and influence you aspire to be! It is already in you! Bring it out.
“It is not explanations that carry us forward, but our will to go on.”
